Christine is the Dental Assistant at our practice. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program in 2006, moved to the West coast and started her career in the dental field. She lived in Victoria BC for four years, had many west coast adventures all the while gaining practical knowledge of the inner workings of a dental office.
The lure of family and lifelong friends brought her back to Ottawa in 2010. Soon after moving back, she found her dental home here at our office.
Christine’s calm and caring demeanor helps our patients feel at ease when they are in our chairs. She has been working as a part of our team for over eight years. She is efficient and organized, facilitating our days and ensuring our patients have a comfortable and expeditive experience. She appreciates the high standards and ambition to which all the staff are held at our wonderful practice.
When not working, Christine loves spending time with her family and friends. She may be found with her nose in a book or out wandering around with her dog. She enjoys staying active and social and is always looking for a new experience to take her out of her comfort zone.
She would not hesitate to refer any of her close family or friends to Dr. Birsila knowing they would be in capable hands.
Hello! I've been a dental hygienist at this dental office for 19 years. I have had the honor of getting to know and take care of grandparents, parents and children at this exceptional office. I pride myself in giving bilingual, professional, comfortable service with a smile and a bit of humor. I strive to help you find your customized path to optimum oral health.
I am originally from rural Manitoba where I grew up on a farm. I then studied at the CUSB to obtain a BSc, then at the U of M where I received my diploma in dental hygiene.
My husband and I have four beautiful children. I have three boys and one girl full of love, laughter and energy. I have been fortunate to volunteer in a variety of areas. I have coached soccer and ringette and am also happy to help out with local Associations and events.
I look forward to meeting you!
A bientôt !
With a background rooted in Vietnam, my passion for dental health was sparked by witnessing the challenges my community faced due to limited access to preventive care. This experience fueled my dedication to promoting proactive oral health practices. I earned an advanced diploma in Dental Hygiene from Algonquin College, gaining a deep understanding of the vital connection between oral health and overall well-being.
As a devoted dental hygienist, I offer holistic, comprehensive care that focuses on the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I believe true oral health is more than just treating symptoms; it’s about addressing root causes, restoring balance, and supporting the body’s natural healing abilities. I emphasize preventive care, nutrition, and stress management as key components of achieving a healthy smile and a vibrant life.
My mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to take control of their oral health, ensuring every smile is bright, healthy, and lasting. I’m excited to partner with you on your journey to a healthier, brighter smile!
I was born on the other side of the river in Gatineau, and graduated as a dental assistant in 2000 at Le Centre Vision Avenir. I am fluent in French and English.
The reason I went in to the dental world was because of my passion to help people. My role as your Dental Hygiene Coordinator is something I really enjoy, as well as being part of the team here.
Dr. Birsila and her team have made me feel welcome as I am the fresh face in this office.
In my spare time I like traveling, cooking and trying new recipes and working out. I am married to a wonderful man and am the mother of two beautiful daughters that makes me proud everyday.
I look forward to meeting each one of you as we build a relationship to make your experience here a memorable one.
